Overview

Internet Tools aims to keep tests lightweight and respectful of your privacy. The speed test uses the open-source ndt7 protocol. We avoid collecting personal data beyond what is necessary to run the test and display results.

What we collect

• IP address and approximate location, used to select a nearby test server.
• Download and upload measurements needed to show you your results.
• Basic device and browser info used to keep the test stable.

What we do not collect

• No account, login, or payment data.
• No persistent identifiers or advertising trackers.
• No selling or sharing of test results with third parties.

Data retention

Measurements stay in-memory for the session to show results. Any third-party ndt7 test servers may log limited diagnostic data per their policies. We do not persist results on our own servers.

Cookies

We do not set cookies for tracking. If future tools need preferences, they will be optional.

Your choices

You can choose not to run the test. Closing the tab clears in-memory data.
